Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing or using SweetSpot, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SweetSpot.

1. What SweetSpot provides

SweetSpot helps you record and review estimated total sugar from drinks, desserts and snacks. Features may include manual logging, nutrition-label scanning, AI-assisted food estimates, personalised daily guides, reminders, trends and subscription services.

We may improve, add, remove or suspend features. We will try to avoid materially reducing paid functionality during an active subscription without reasonable notice, except where necessary for security, law or circumstances outside our control.

2. Not medical advice

The app tracks total sugar as a practical proxy. Personalised guides use estimates based on information you provide and may not reflect your individual medical needs. AI outputs, label scans, food data and serving calculations can be incomplete or wrong.

Do not use SweetSpot to diagnose, prevent or treat a condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions that may affect your health, particularly if you have diabetes, are pregnant, take medication, have an eating disorder, or have another relevant condition. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

3. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 13 years old to use SweetSpot. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, a parent or guardian must agree for you.

You may not misuse SweetSpot, interfere with its security, evade usage limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, upload unlawful or harmful material, access another person’s account, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You can delete your account from Settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes associated SweetSpot data as described in our Privacy Policy. It does not cancel an Apple subscription.

5. Subscriptions, trials and billing

SweetSpot may offer auto-renewable monthly or annual subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. Before purchase, the app will show the product, billing period, price and any trial for which Apple determines you are eligible.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through Apple at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Apple manages billing, cancellation, refunds and subscription restoration under its applicable terms.
• Deleting SweetSpot or your SweetSpot account does not cancel billing. Manage your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
• If a trial converts to a paid subscription, the displayed price is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Except where law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable by SweetSpot. You may request a refund from Apple under Apple’s policies.

6. Content and intellectual property

SweetSpot, including its software, design, text, illustrations, databases and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose.

You retain rights in content you submit. You give us a limited permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve SweetSpot, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

SweetSpot relies on services provided by companies including Apple, Google, Supabase and RevenueCat. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond what applicable law requires.

8. Availability and termination

We aim to keep SweetSpot reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, legal obligations or material breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SweetSpot is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use SweetSpot.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

10. Apple terms

If you use the iOS app, Apple is not responsible for SweetSpot or its content, support or warranties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the provisions that apply to them. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where relevant.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without limiting mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence. The courts of Singapore will have non-exclusive jurisdiction where legally permitted.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and effective date, and provide additional notice where a change is material. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
